Visitors...
We had a little excitement on the Brackenhurst campus today due to the prospect of three very important visitors – The President of Kenya, the President of Nigeria and the Vice President of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The President of Nigeria (H.E. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR; President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria) was the only one who actually turned up this afternoon, as the President of Kenya’s plans changed at the last minute and the VP of DRC came later in the day to speak tomorrow morning.
As one might expect, there were tons of military personel, police and secret service present to ensure total security throughout the President’s stay. At one point I found myself being asked by a CID agent (secret service) if I wanted to go in and listen to his speech, which of course I did. The president talked mainly on politics and religion and how Christians should be involved in politics. He said, “if you leave all the dirty and bad people to be in politics, then politics will be dirty and bad.” It was an interesting 30 minutes. As he left, I was able to get close enough to reach out and touch him – though I was not crazy enough to do so! :) Although I don’t know him, he seemed very humble and many times professed his faith in Jesus Christ. I’ve attached some pictures for your enjoyment...

Great to see all the excitement in Kenya with a President and a birthday.
EE here is going well - my trainee came to faith last semester during an EE visit by Lori's team.
I'm still working and looking for work at the same time.
Blessings.
