Slugs
Due to the moisture in the post-rainy season, we seem to have an inordinate number of slugs in our house. Most are small, but one fell from the curtain the other day that was a good 4 1/2 inches long. They are slimy little guests, but are not creatures that bite - for that we are thankful. Some may confuse these slugs with Kyle after a hard days work. You can decide which is which...

Hi Davis Family!
What an AWESOME bloggsite...it ROCKS! The journal entries are GREAT and the pictures are WONDERFUL! Keep them coming.
A little bit of salt will take care of those unwanted slugs, assuming you have access to salt. Did you know that a bowl with a little beer in it acts as a liquid trap for slugs (at least for American slugs)? They crawl up into it and drown. Of course, you probably don't have much beer lying around the house...just thought I'd share that little tidbit with you;-}! Then, there's always the "Kingdom of God" way of dealing with unwanted creatures: Take authority over them and tell them to leave - God gave man authority over the animal kingdom in early Genesis.
I had no idea that Kenya was at such a high altitude. Y'all must get pretty worn out just walking to church.
Would a special mattress cover and/or pillow covers help with Lexi's breathing problems? I know that they have hyperallergesic (sp?) products at the Sleep Comfort store here at the mall. We would be happy to send you something.
Thanks for your care package address, but you didn't give us a shopping list. Isn't there anything you need to help make life a little easier? What type of unobtainalble treats do you and the kids like? Please, let us know if there is anything in particular that you need.
I pray that you be protected and directed, in Jesus name. Thank you for the work you are doing. May God exceedingly bless your ministry.
YBIC, Mark McLeroy
