Cooking Meals

Well, some things never change, do they? Here is Mama cooking in the kitchen. Cooking here in Kenya takes much longer than in the States, because you have to make virtually everything from scratch. We are finding that a lot of foods just taste different here in Kenya than what we are used to in the States. That is not a bad thing, but the kids have certain expectation in mind when you ask them if they want some orange juice for breakfast and it tastes more like grapefruit juice, or that the corn is still very crunchy when served for lunch.
Another thing that does not change is our kid's reactions to foods they are not used to or have do not look as "wonderful" as they'd like. See the typical reaction below...
