Habari za asubuhi?

Habari za asubuhi? (What's the news of the morning?)

In Kenya the answer is ALWAYS - Nzuri (the news is good/well/fine.) You could be on your death bed and the answer would still be Nzuri. So, we are well here, but we had to take Lexi to a clinic last night and have her tested for malaria. The thought of it was kind of scary, but she tested negative. She has had a headache, coughing, 38.8 degree fever (101.8 degrees Fahrenheit or 312 degrees Kelvin, if you prefer), chills, vomiting, diarrhea, achy body. All the symptoms of malaria... Fortunately, these are all the symptoms of the flu or many other cold bugs too. She’s on an antibiotic now, if she can hold it down, and is much more perky this morning. Beckett is on antibiotics too. We hated to do it, but he started in with a cough and thought we should launch a pre-emptive attack. Please pray for them and us that the rest of the family does not get what she has and that it truly is not malaria. She has to go back in a few days and get tested again.

Lexi and Daddy at the clinic getting tested for malaria. Yes, this IS the exam room...

Great to hear and see all the news from your corner of the world. Mary Faye and I are praying for healing for the kids.
